Founded in 2014 in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Bodega CM Matarromera (D.O.Ca. Rioja) is another major project by renowned Castilian-Leonese winemaker Carlos Moro, owner of Bodegas Familiares Matarromera, marked by the passion of a viticulturist, oenologist, and winemaker who has successfully made his mark in other equally demanding and prestigious designations of origin. A business project aimed at producing high-end wines and sharing the philosophy on which Bodegas Familiares Matarromera is based: innovation, respect for sustainability and the environment, and the pursuit of the highest quality. Bodega CM Matarromera owns 30 hectares of its own vineyards spread over different plots located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra and Labastida, plus 60 hectares under its control located in these towns and Ábalos. The winery's facilities include an impressive 300-meter-long underground cellar that houses 2,000 American and French oak barrels. Currently, Bodega CM Matarromera produces the CM and Oinoz brands (D.O.Ca. Rioja). This winery is the backbone between two communities, between two rivers (the Duero and the Ebro), which, flowing in opposite directions, flow into the same destination: a market accustomed to the high standards and excellence of its wines, which is why, with humility, simplicity, and professionalism, this Rioja winery has set itself this noble goal.
